Rochester parking lot scuffle leads to car riddled with bullets

Police are searching for the person who opened fire on a man's vehicle following an argument in a Tops parking lot. (WHAM)

Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - Police are searching for the person who opened fire on a man's vehicle following an argument in a Tops parking lot.

Rochester police responded to the plaza at the intersection of North Clinton Avenue and Upper Falls Boulevard around 9 p.m. Sunday.

Officers found the victim's vehicle with multiple bullet holes in it.

Police believe the 57-year-old victim, a Rochester resident, and the suspect got into an argument over the traffic congestion in the parking lot.

Officers said the suspect followed the victim onto Upper Falls Blvd., and fired a handgun at the victim.

The vehicle was hit, but no one inside was hurt.

Police have not yet made an arrest.
