Two charged in burglaries, thefts in Irondequoit, 3 other towns
Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - Two men were arrested Friday in connection with a spree of burglaries and thefts from cars in at least four towns in Monroe County.
Dean Klejment, 51, and Joseph Mullen, 35, are charged with burglary and larceny-related crimes; more charges are pending.
According to Monroe County Sheriff's investigators, they have been working on these cases involving home burglaries and thefts from cars in Irondequoit, Perinton, Pittsford, and Rochester.
Klejment reportedly told investigators he was responsible for several of the crimes and was bringing stolen items to Mullen’s house in Irondequoit.
New York State Parole and Irondequoit Police executed a search warrant at Mullen's home and found approximately $30,000 worth of stolen power tools and equipment.
Klejment was arraigned on second-degree burglary and petit larceny charges in Perinton Town court. Klejment is a previously convicted felon and was remanded to the Monroe County Jail without bail.
Mullen was remanded to the Monroe County Jail on a parole violation. He faces at least one charge of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
