Three brothers, veterans part of Honor Flight's 51st mission

The Bergeron brothers are the first brothers to take part in Honor Flight Rochester.

Rochester, N.Y. - 56 veterans from Western New York are back home after a whirlwind trip to our nation's capitol.

Among them, the Bergeron brothers.

They are three of seven siblings who all served our country, and the first brothers to take part in Honor Flight.

Their heroes' welcome at the Greater Rochester International Airport Sunday wrapped up the 51st local Honor Flight mission to Washington D.C.

"I'm speechless, I really am," said Larry Bergeron. "And those little kids along the line are so patriotic. They're standing there with their little flags, and it brings tears to your eyes."

"All these people come here with that same feeling, I believe. Otherwise they wouldn't be here. It's fantastic," said Roland Bergeron.

56 veterans, mostly from World War II and the Korean War were on this weekend's mission. 13WHAM's Ginny Ryan joined the crew for this trip.
