Farmington, N.Y. - Multiple agencies responded to a fire in Farmington Saturday night, including the Victor Volunteer Fire Department, which was in the middle of its 'Santa on a Truck' event.

According to the Farmington Volunteer Fire Association, the structure fire broke out around 6:30 p.m. on Dale Drive.

The Victor Fire Department was in the Gypsum Mills neighborhood when the call went out and was able to get on scene within two minutes.

The Farmington Fire Department says had the Victor crew not been so close, the structure would have been a total loss. The kitchen and the living room were heavily damaged in the fire.

No one was home at the time, but the occupants have been displaced from the trailer and are being assisted by the Red Cross.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but it is believed to be electrical and to have started in the kitchen.
