Wayne Co. Sheriff elected President of NYS Sheriffs' association

Albany, N.Y. (WHAM) - Wayne County Sheriff Barry Virts was elected President of the NYS Sheriffs' Association.

The Association elected Officers at the 84th Annual Winter Training Conference in Albany in January.

Sheriff Virts will work with sheriffs across the state to help enhance public safety through professional training and accreditation programs, public safety programs, and advocacy.

The New York State Sheriffs' Association is a non-profit that assists sheriffs in delivery of services to the public.
