West Babylon couple sentenced for scheme against Rochester mortgage company
Rochester, N.Y. – A West Babylon couple has been sentenced for a mortgage fraud scheme against a Rochester company.
Angelo Louissaint, 42, sentenced to two and a half years in prison, and Jennifer Johnson, 42, was sentenced to five years’ probation, six months of which would be home detention.
Prosecutors say the two, along with a third individual, obtained mortgage loans from Rochester’s Flaherty Funding by using fraudulent information. Prosecutors say they received $1.2 million in loans and were seeking an additional $900,000.
Prosecutors say charges are pending against the third individual said to be involved in the scheme.
