York, N.Y. (WHAM) - The woman accused of stabbing a man to death last November at a home in York was indicted on manslaughter charges this week.

Danielle Allen was indicted by a grand jury on one count of manslaughter 2nd.

Allen was charged after she allegedly stabbed 22-year-old Marcus Postell on November 21, 2016.

Allen was sent to the Livingston County Jail on $25,000 bail or $50,000 bond. She posted bail and is currently free.

Reports earlier this month state Allen reportedly told 911 dispatchers that Postell tried to kill himself - and then her.

Livingston County Sheriff Tom Dougherty said Allen had a romantic relationship with Postell, and that Postell did not live at the home.

Allen's father is a major in the New York State Police. Due to this conflict of interest, New York State Police have been kept out of the investigation.
