Woman killed in Chili crash Thursday
Chili, N.Y. – One person is dead after a crash in the Town of Chili Thursday afternoon.
The crash happened around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Chestnut Ridge Road and Paul Road.
Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies say Diane Rebmann, 70, of Batavia was westbound on Paul Road and made a left turn onto Chestnut Ridge Road. They say her vehicle entered the path of a vehicle driven by Joseph Curtis, 18, of North Chili.
Rebmann’s vehicle was t-boned and pushed into a telephone pole. She was trapped in the vehicle for about 30 minutes before being extricated. She was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, where she later died.
Deputies say Curtis was not hurt.
