Woman says postal employee forcefully threw packages onto her porch
Greece, N.Y. - An internal investigation is underway after a woman claims a USPS worker mishandled her mail packages Monday morning.
Daneane Nucci says she saw it happen in real time while she was at work. She uses a security app that tracks when people walk towards her front door.
In the video, Nucci says the postal worker threw several packages, that she ordered as Christmas gifts, forcefully onto her front porch and left.
It allegedly happened sometime around 11:00 a.m. Nucci told 13WHAM that she called to complain but never heard back from USPS. She says she wants others to remember to check packages thoroughly after you open them.
“When I did get a moment to go back and look, I was just stunned at what I saw,” Nucci said. “Have some consideration for other people’s property. You took on a job that requires you to deliver goods, and you should do that with respect.”
A representative from USPS said in a statement on Monday, “It is difficult to tell where this occurred but we are currently reviewing the video to gather details. This is clearly unacceptable behavior that does not reflect the efforts of the thousands of professional carriers in our workforce.”
