Pregnant woman turned away at Washington restaurant for outfit
MARYSVILLE, Wash. (WGME) -- A woman pregnant with twins says she was wrongfully kicked out of a restaurant in Washington because her belly was exposed, according to KIRO.
Charisha Gobin is 7-and-a-half months pregnant.
She says she went into a Washington steakhouse Sunday night and was told to leave.
"The waitress/bartender stopped us and said, 'I’m sorry, you can’t be here in that shirt.’ I said, ‘Are you being serious with me right now?’ And she said, ‘Yep, you can't be here,’” Gobin told KIRO.
Gobin says a server told her that her shirt didn't qualify as a real shirt based on their no shirt, no shoes, no service policy.
The restaurant has since apologized for what it calls a "misunderstanding” and says the server has been with the restaurant for nearly 20 years.
