New York officials coordinate statewide drive to help those in need
ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) -- New York officials are coordinating a statewide drive to gather toys and clothes for needy families.
The state Office of General Services is setting up drop-off locations across the state on Monday November 27 to collect new unwrapped toys, coats and school supplies. The collection will continue through December 15.
There are drop-off locations in Albany, Schenectady, Watertown, Utica, Poughkeepsie, Hornell, Binghamton, Rochester, Oneonta, Buffalo, Manhattan, Brooklyn and Hauppauge, on Long Island.
The Rochester drop-off location will be located at the New York State Police station at 1155 Scottsville Road.
