Trooper hit by pickup truck during traffic stop in Steuben County
CAMPBELL, N.Y. (WHAM) – A New York state trooper was seriously hurt after a crash in Steuben County Wednesday afternoon.
According to State Police, the crash happened around 4:45 p.m. on I-86 westbound, near Exit 42 in the Town of Campbell.
The trooper had pulled a vehicle over when he was hit by a pickup truck, according to State Police.
The trooper’s injuries are said to be serious. He is being airlifted to the University of Rochester Medical Center.
The identity of the trooper has not yet been released.
