Rochester, N.Y. - A home in Rochester will be demolished following a fire Friday evening.

Firefighters were called to the 800 block of Jay Street for the report of a fire. There, they found a building on fire with heavy flames showing. The fire soon spread to the attic.

There were two apartments in the building, but all residents - one adult and four children in the lower floor apartment, and an adult in the upstairs apartment - were able to get out safely.

Fire investigators later determined the cause of the fire to be a child playing with fire.

Two firefighters suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The house is a total loss, and the Red Cross is providing aid for those affected. Firefighters said the home will have to be torn down.
