Head-on crash on W. Main St. leaves man, 2 children injured

Rochester, N.Y. - A head-on crash on W. Main Street left a man and two children injured.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. Friday night.

Police say the driver of a van was unable to get out of the vehicle, but was quickly extricated with the help of the Rochester Fire Department.

He sustained a minor head injury. His 8-year-old and 6-year-old children received bruising from the crash.

All three were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital as a precaution.

The other vehicle involved had significant front-end damage. When officers arrived on scene, the engine of the car was on fire.

Police are still investigating how the crash happened.
