Bills Cut Carpenter & Robey-Coleman

The Bills released five players on Monday and salary cap space played a factor. But kicker Dan Carpenter is gone because he was a borderline disaster on extra points with 11 misses in the past two tears, made just 4 of 9 in the key 40-49 yard range last year and kickoffs were never his strength. The release Long snapper Garrison Sanborn was all about money. I can sort through the hours of video we have of Bills football in the past 8 seasons and be hard pressed to find a wayward snap. But they need to save money and there will be cheaper alternatives. The release of defensive back Nickell Robey-Coleman appears to be a Sean McDermott call. Robey-Coleman is the smallest player on the roster and in a draft filled with defensive backs, the Bills feel they can get bigger and better for less money that NRC.
