"Cookie" Gilchrist to be inducted into Bills' "Wall of Fame"
Orchard Park, N.Y. – The Buffalo Bills are adding a new name to the team’s Wall of Fame in Orchard Park.
Carlton “Cookie” Gilchrist, who played as a running back for the Bills between 1962 and 1964, will become the 31st person to receive a spot on the Wall of Fame.
In his first year with the Bills, Gilchrist set eight AFL records, and, by the time he ended his career with the Bills, had racked up more than 3,050 yards rushing and 31 rushing touchdowns.
Gilchrist will be posthumously inducted at a halftime ceremony during the Bills’ home game on October 29.
