The drought is over! Bills qualify for playoffs with 22-16 win over Dolphins
The Bills needed a win and some help to get into the playoffs for the first time since 1999, and that's exactly what they got.
Buffalo held off the Miami Dolphins 22-16, then watched as Baltimore gave up a 49 yard touchdown on 4th and 12, turning a three point lead into a four point loss.
With that, the Bills qualified for the playoffs for the first time in 18 years, ending the longest postseason drought in major professional sports.
Buffalo's last playoff appearance came in the 1999 season, but ended on January 8, 2000 in the wild card round against the Tennessee Titans.
Mark your calendars: The Bills play the Jaguars in Jacksonville Sunday, January 7th at 1pm.
