Police reports: Evander Kane harassed women at Buffalo nightclub
Buffalo, N.Y. (WHAM) - Buffalo Police has released reports detailing two alleged incidents involving Buffalo Sabres forward Evander Kane that occurred early Friday morning at Bottoms Up nightclub on Chippewa Street in downtown Buffalo.
The report alleges that Kane harassed two women inside the nightclub and, upon leaving the establishment, placed his hands on the throat of one of the women before attempting to push her into his car. No charges have been filed in the case, and there have been no arrests made.
Buffalo Police Department spokesperson Mike DeGeorge issued a statement:
"Buffalo Police are in the preliminary stages of investigating the allegations."
Back in December, Kane was the subject of a sexual assault investigation after an alleged incident at a Buffalo hotel on Dec. 27 after the Sabres defeated the Boston Bruins. No charges were filed in the case, and Kane was cleared of all wrongdoing, with prosecutors citing a lack of evidence.
Sabres head coach Dan Bylsma expressed frustration at seeing Kane's name appear in the news.
