Gary Brown was the epitome of the saying, "Once a Raider, Always a Raider" according to legendary Fairport Football Coach Don Santini. "He was just a one of kind. His love for Fairport and Fairport Athletics was just unbelievable."
On Sept 7th,Gary Brown lost his fight to MSA (Multiple Systems Atrophy) a very rare disease similar to Lou Gehrig's Disease.
Gary "Gator" Brown played football for Coach Santini and Fairport Football in 1975 and 1976. He was also known around town for beating his big drum at every Fairport Football and Basketball game, especially at the Little Brown Jug games vs. East Rochester.
In his later years, Gary coached Fairport Football for over ten years and made a tremendous impact in the lives of the players, fellow coaches, and even parents and fans. While the Fairport community faces another incredible loss, they are humbled and proud to have had Gary Brown be one of them for so long. Gary is survived by his beautiful wife, Mary and boys; Max, Mackenzie and Michael. RIP Gary Brown as Fairport proudly continues your tradition. Once a Raider Always a Raider.
