East wins 10th straight Eddie Meath game

Updated: Monday, July 7 2014, 04:40 PM EDT

In a defensive struggle at Eastridge, the East all-stars outlasted the West, 9-7, en route to their tenth-consecutive win on this stage.

Scoring in the 34th-annual affair opened in the first quarter, when Churchville-Chili QB John Iacucci hit Wilson wideout Akinlawon Robinson for a deep score.

The scoreboard stayed at 7-0 until the fourth, when Pal-Mac quarterback Stephen Morrell slung a screen to Clyde-Savannah receiver Joe Faniel, who ran through a defender on his way to the endzone.

After a missed extra point, East added a late Will Mahar (McQuaid) go-ahead field goal.
