While his friends are playing the new Madden, Thomas Bryant is at the gym, trying to take his basketball game to the next level.
Part of getting to the next level now involves leaving home. Bryant is transferring to Huntington Prep in West Virginia, one of the best high school boys basketball programs in the country.
But it wasn't an easy decision. Bryant, who helped lead Bishop Kearney to the 2012-13 New York State championship as a sophomore, said leaving his teammates, memories, and coaches behind was a very difficult thing to do.
The 16-year old will stay with family in West Virginia, while his mom remains in Rochester, which he says will always be home.
