Webster Thomas Boys Lacrosse Comes Back to Beat Penn Yan Academy in Two Overtimes
Despite trailing the Penn Yan Academy boys lacrosse team by a trio of goals in the fourth quarter, Webster Thomas came back to win in two overtimes to finish this regular season with a 13-3 record. Matt Hill tied the score at eight goals each with 52.8 seconds left in regulation. Even though a freshman goalie for the Mustangs in Jeff Kinyoun sat for 24 minutes earlier in the contest, he stopped a point-blank chance for the Titans in the final seconds of what ended up being the first of two extra sessions. Colin Horan had a shot tipped in the air, but the ball still bounced home to win this one. Conner Fingar recorded four goals and an assist in the loss.
