Wings' Mitch Garver sets new Rochester HR's in a game record

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) -- Mitch Garver hit three home runs and drove in four runs, as the Rochester Red Wings defeated the Syracuse Chiefs 8-2 on Sunday. With the victory, the Red Wings swept the three-game series.

Garver hit a two-run shot in the second, a solo shot in the fourth and a solo shot in the sixth. Bengie Gonzalez doubled twice and singled in the win.

Nik Turley (3-2) got the win with two innings of scoreless, two-hit relief while Syracuse starter Sean O'Sullivan (1-2) took the loss in the International League game.

With the win, Rochester improved to 9-4 against Syracuse this season.
