Wings shutout Chiefs on Saturday

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) -- Aaron Slegers allowed just seven hits over 7 2/3 innings, leading the Rochester Red Wings over the Syracuse Chiefs in a 2-0 win on Saturday.

Jake Reed got Emmanuel Burriss to ground out with a runner on second to end the game for his third save of the season.

Slegers (9-4) struck out three to pick up the win.

The only score of the game came in the fourth inning when Niko Goodrum scored on a wild pitch and Tommy Field scored on a triple.

Dustin Antolin (2-4) went three innings, allowing two runs and two hits in the International League game. He also struck out three and walked two.

Caleb Ramsey doubled and singled twice for the Chiefs. Syracuse was held off the scoreboard for the eighth time this season, while the Rochester staff recorded its sixth shutout of the year.

Rochester improved to 8-4 against Syracuse this season.
