Rochester Red Wings postpone home opener due to snow
Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - The Friday home opener for the Rochester Red Wings has been postponed due to the snow.
Try as he might, Red Wings General Manager Dan Mason could not compete with Mother Nature when it came to his 50-degree guarantee.
The first home game against the Buffalo Bisons had been scheduled for 6:05 p.m. Friday.
Saturday’s start time has been pushed back to 3:05 p.m. Gates are slated to open at 2 p.m. It was originally scheduled for 1:05 p.m.
The postponed game from Friday will be rescheduled as a doubleheader at a later date.
Fans who bought tickets to Friday’s game can redeem them for two games: one for any game in April or May, based on the 50-degree guarantee, and another for any remaining home date in 2018.
All exchanges must be made in person at the Ticket Office.
