Connect With Justin Carter

Justin Carter joined the 13WHAM ABC and FOX Rochester team as a General Assignment Reporter in April 2016.

Born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Justin caught the "theatre bug" and knew he was destined to become a presenter of some sort. He channeled that desire into broadcasting when he majored in Journalism and Communication at the University of Pittsburgh.

Prior to moving to the ROC, Justin got his first taste of Lake Effect snow as a Multi-Media Journalist/Anchor for Erie News Now in Northwestern Pennsylvania. While in Erie, he covered everything from Pope Francis' visit to the United States, the federal investigation of Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane, and was the first reporter to address a racially-charged email written by a local police chief. The story led to the Chief's resignation and garnered national media attention.

Justin landed his first jobs behind the scenes as a News Producer for KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh, and in Creative Services at WPVI-TV in Philadelphia.

Justin is thrilled to be in Rochester, and cannot wait to enjoy all the festivities and good eats that the area has to offer.

When you don't see him on the news, you can find him on the tennis court, hanging by the Lake, or searching for the best thing to eat in town!
