Fans optimistic as Bills camp begins
Pittsford, N.Y. The Buffalo Bills are back in town and training camp is underway at St. John Fisher College.
Fans began lining up more than an hour before the 6 p.m. practice, excited to see how their team looks after an offseason of changes on and off the field including a rookie head coach and quarterback.
The Bills faithful wasted no time yelling words of encouragement to players as they made their way to the field.
Even though the Bills havent had a winning record since 2004 and havent made the playoffs since 1999, some fans are optimistic this will be the year Buffalo finally turns things around.
Its a hometown team and its just the thing about Bills fans, superfan Joe Hart said. They stick by their team no matter what.
We're hoping for a winning and competitive football club this year, said Ron Morano. Obviously we want to win championships and Super Bowls, but certainly a competitive football club would suffice."
This is our team, said Nathaniel Meedel. This is the first look at the Bills. 2013 is a brand new season and we're ready to recharge.
