It was a surprise of a lifetime for people eating at a Park Avenue restaurant. They were at Magnolias when the President of the United States walked through the door.
Owner Susan Palermo only had a 45 minute notice that the President was coming.
She told her staff: " just be yourselves."
She says the White House chose her restaurant because of its ambiance, good food and the fact that it caters to college students, which was a good fit for the Presidents message.
Michelle Sapere was lucky enough to meet the President. She even posed for a picture with him and still couldn't believe it.
Even those who didn't get to meet the President told us just seeing his bus roll by made their day.
The President had a half of a sandwich and soup. He wouldn't let the owner buy him lunch, telling her she's a small business owner and needs the money.
