Places to warm up during Heat Sweep

Rochester, N.Y. - Mayor Lovely Warren has issued a Heat Sweep
todayplaces you can go to get warm during below zero temperatures.

The City of Rochester and the Red Cross will provide emergency
shelters at the following Centers.

Adams St. Community Center: 85 Adams St.

Campbell St Community Center: 524 Campbell St.

David F. Gantt Community Center: 700 North St.

In addition, since city schools are closed, the following City Recreation and Community Centers will be open for regular programming from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Campbell St Community Center: 524 Campbell St. 

Carter St. Community Center: 500 Carter St.
 
Edgerton Community Center: 41 Backus St.
Flint St. Community Center: 271 Flint St.

Thomas P. Ryan Community Center: 530 Webster Ave.

We are prepared to assist individuals and families in dealing with
severe conditions, said the mayor.

The City reminds residents to limit time spent outdoors cover any
exposed skin if you must go out.

Check on your elderly neighbors if you are able.

Remember not to leave pets outside.

Dont use the stove to heat your home.

Call 311 if you lose heat or need to report someone who needs help.
