Wild Colo. police chase caught on camera

Longmont, Colo. -- A man was arrested Wednesday morning after a terrifying chase and series of carjackings north of Denver.

It all started when Ryan Stone, 28, stole a car with a 4-year-old boy inside at a gas station.
He eventually ditched the car and left the boy safely, but went on to steal two more vehicles before being caught.

During a police pursuit, Stone also drove the wrong way on a freeway, hit and seriously injured a state trooper, and was seen throwing a woman out of her car to steal it.

Much of the chase was caught on camera. After causing a crash at an intersection, Stone, who was wanted on drug charges, tried to run from police before he was eventually caught and arrested.

Stone now faces several more felony charges. The young boy was OK. The injured state trooper is expected to recover.
