Body found in freezer identified

Kansas City, Kansas - The body of a man found stuffed into a freezer in a garage in a Kansas City house has been identified as Lawrence Muirhead.

Muirhead, a truck driver, was hauling a load from Pennsylvania to Arizona last year when he disappeared. His family last heard from the 53-year-old father of four on September 28, and reported him missing Oct. 1.

According to his social media accounts, Muirhead is a 1978 graduate of Spencerport High School.

Three days later his truck was found abandoned in Merriam, Kansas.
Now, investigators are trying to figure out how he ended up in a top-loading freezer police found in a garage in Kansas City on February 9.

Kansas City police would not comment on the case, but they did confirm theyre investigating his death as a homicide.
