Sterling: 'I'm not a racist'

Los Angeles (AP) -- Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling has apologized for making racist comments that led to his being banned for life from the NBA.

In a taped CNN interview set to air Monday, Sterling said those comments were a "terrible mistake."

Sterling's estranged wife, Shelly, said in an interview with ABCs Barbara Walters she'll fight to keep her 50 percent ownership of the Clippers, even if other NBA owners decide her husband must sell.

An NBA spokesman said based on the NBA constitution, her interests would be terminated as well.
