Casey Kasem: Ryan Seacrest reflects

Hollywood, California - As America mourns the loss of radio icon Casey Kasem, one person with a very special connection to him is commenting on the loss.

Ryan Seacrest took the reins of "American Top 40" in 2004, succeeding Kasem after he helmed the radio show for nearly 40 years.

In a statement, Seacrest said, "When I was a kid, I would listen to Casey Kasem's 'AT40' every weekend and dream about someday being a radio DJ."

Kasem died Sunday at 82 after a long battle with Lewy Body dementia.
