Two women found dead in Sodus home

Sodus, N.Y. - State Police said two women were found dead in a home in Sodus Sunday afternoon.
Police said that the case is being treated as a double homicide investigation. They believe that the victims interrupted a burglary.
According to investigators, 54-year-old Terri Lynn Moulton and 30-year-old Stacey Moulton went to a house on Rt. 14 around 1 p.m. Sunday to check on the owner's pets. That owner was not home.

By 4:00 p.m., the two had not returned home. The victims’ husband and father, Charles Moulton, went to check on them. Upon arriving at the residence, he discovered their bodies.

Police said that there were signs of forced entry in the home. They also said that several small fires had been set in different areas of the structure. They were quickly put out.

There is no word yet on how the women died.

At this point, police are still following several leads, but they don't believe residents in the area are in danger.

Anyone who was in the area of Route 14 between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Sunday is asked to call State Police if they saw anything suspicious.
