Local researchers develop new prostate cancer screening
Rochester, N.Y. – Researchers at the University of Rochester and the Rochester Institute of Technology have come up with a new way to screen for prostate cancer.
It is called multispectral photoacoustic imaging and it can help identify healthy prostate tissue and cancerous tissue.
The technology could lead to a more accurate and less invasive screening process.
It will be ready for human trials in a few years.
