Rochester Police charge homeless man with rape

Rochester, N.Y.- Rochester Police arrested a homeless man they said forced his way inside a city apartment and raped a woman inside.

Police said Marvin Sevilla-Rosales, 19, knocked on the door of an apartment in the 200 block of Alexander Street around 7:30 p.m. Friday.

When the woman answered the door, police said Sevilla-Rosales forced his way inside and raped the woman.

Before he left, police said he stole her money and cell phone.

Police said he was found in the old subway bed on Court Street.

Sevilla-Rosales is charged with first-degree rape, second-degree robbery and first-degree burglary.

Police said additional charges may be lodged in connection with two other incidents.
