Submit comments on NY tranportation improvement plans

Albany, N.Y. (AP) - New York transportation officials are asking for public comment on their plans to spend $11.7 billion in federal money from 2014 to 2017.

They say the "Statewide Transportation Improvement Plan" lists all the projects scheduled around the state.     

The Department of Transportation will be taking comments on the plan online or in writing through Aug. 24.

A full list of proposed projects in Monroe, Ontario, Wayne, Genesee, Livingston and Wyoming Counties can be found here.

Comments regarding the addition of these two programs to the STIP can be submitted online at STIP@dot.ny.gov or in writing to: New York State Department of Transportation, Policy and Planning Division, Office of Policy, Planning and Performance, 50 Wolf Road, 6th Floor, Albany, N.Y. 12232.
