Man pleaded not guilty to raping woman in city apartment

Rochester, N.Y.- The man accused of forcing his way inside a Rochester apartment and raping a woman pleaded not guilty in court Thursday.

Marvin Sevilla-Rosales, 19, was arraigned on rape, criminal sex act, sex abuse, and burglary charges.

Police said he knocked on the door of an apartment on Alexander Street July 5.

When the woman answered, police said he forced his way inside, attacked her, and stole her phone and money.

Police said he is homeless and authorities found him in the old subway bed on Court Street.

He is charged with burglary in a previous case.
