Henrietta soldier's return from Afghanistan

Rochester, N.Y. - It was an emotional homecoming Thursday night for Phil LoBiondo, Jr., at the Greater Rochester International Airport.

The Henrietta soldier has been in Afghanistan since last September serving as a sniper specialist with the army.

His father said that it's great to have his son back home.

"You worry every day," Philip LoBiondo, Sr., said. "We Skyped him and we saw plywood behind him, and we don't know what to think, what they're doing. Men and women, you don't know what they're doing, but they're doing it for our country and you hope they all come home safely."

LoBiondo will be busy with family parties through the weekend.

After his leave in Henrietta, LoBiondo will report to an army base in Georgia.
