Pay Raises for Workers

Pay increases next year will only be slightly higher than those in the past few years. According to a new survey by Mercer, a consulting firm, the increase in salaries will be 2.9%.

This increase comes after a 2.1% increase in 2009, and represents an upward trend. The change is slight due to high unemployment since employers still have the upper hand in recruiting new workers.
