Women held captive for a decade thankful for support

Cleveland, Ohio - Three women who escaped after a decade of captivity are thanking their families and the public being supportive.

When asked what she wanted to say, kidnapping victim Gina de Jesus said, “I would say thank you for your support!”

Victim Amanda Berry said, "First and foremost, I want everyone to know how happy I am to be home with my family and my friends.  It's been unbelievable!"

"I may have been through hell and back but I am strong enough to walk through hell with a smile on my face and with my head held high,” said the third victim, Michelle Knight.

In the YouTube video released overnight, Amanda Berry, Gina de Jesus and Michelle Knight also ask for continued privacy as they adjust to their lives now.

The man accused in their kidnappings, Ariel Castro, is being held on $8 million bond.
