They said it would never last

Long Beach, Calif. - A husband and wife who celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary last year have died just one day apart.

Les and Helen Brown were 94 years old they were born on the same day.

She had stomach cancer, and he had Parkinson's disease.

Their son said the couple eloped in 1937 at age 18 because their parents thought the marriage between a wealthy man and a working-class woman would never last.
