State Police: Overnight chase leads to five injured

Rochester, N.Y. - Five people were injured following a police chase Saturday night.

According to the New York State Police, a trooper pulled over a vehicle in the area of Hudson Avenue and Roycroft Drive for a missing taillight and illegally tinted windows.

The suspect drove away from their location and the police proceeded to chase the driver four or five blocks.

The suspect crashed his vehicle into a car at the corner of Alphonse and North Streets causing a chain reaction. The victim's vehicle hit another car. The suspect's car rolled over and hit a house.

Five people were hurt in the crash but had non life-threatening injuries.

Authorities say there were two men in the vehicle at the time.

Upon investigation they discovered a loaded gun and drugs in the vehicle. The driver is facing multiple charges.
