Dog thrown from moving SUV

Irondequoit, N.Y.-- NYSP Rochester Investigators say Lawrence Wiegele was arguing with two women in his SUV when he threw a dog out of window, Tuesday evening.

The dog was injured and bleeding from the incident, his exact condition is unknown.

Sometime after that Wiegele stopped the vehicle in Irondequoit, and kicked the two women out of his car. They were not injured, but investigators tell us he did drive off with one of the womens 8-year-old daughter. She was not harmed either.

Wiegele had headed home where troopers found him a short time later. He was arrested after they conducted several field sobriety tests, and he reportedly told police he had been drinking beer while behind the wheel.

Wiegele was charged with several felonies including, driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

He is also facing charges of endangering the welfare of a child and animal cruelty.
