RAPA to take over Kodak's Theater

Rochester, N.Y.-- Rochester Association for Performing Arts and Eastman Kodak Company announced an agreement Monday for RAPA to take over operations of Kodaks theater and facilities at Eastman Business Park.

The facility will be turned into a multi-function entertainment, conference and education center for the community.

RAPA will also use the air conditioned 1,964-seat theater on Ridge Road West in Rochester to mount its own shows for national tours.

We are delighted to partner with RAPA in transforming our private theater into a true community resource that will complement the economic development initiatives under way at Eastman Business Park, said Brad Kruchten, President, Graphics, Entertainment and Commercial Films and Senior Vice President, Eastman Kodak Company. RAPA has a very exciting vision for this facility, and we believe they have the ability to turn it into a new jewel for our community.

Theres also been talk to have VisitRochester use the facility to host large meetings and conferences that need meeting rooms.

The facility at Building 28 in Eastman Business Park includes a number of conference rooms and two large dining areas.
