Hep-C villain gets long prison stay

Concord, N.Y. - The hospital technician who allegedly set off a multi-state hepatitis C outbreak will be going to prison for at least 30 years.

David Kwiatkowski plans to plead guilty in New Hampshire to avoid criminal charges in Kansas, Georgia and Maryland.

He's accused of stealing drugs and infecting at least 47 people in all four states through contaminated syringes.

New court documents also reveal he had been fired from two Michigan hospitals and resigned from two others amid drug theft allegations before working in other states.
