Red light camera suit to proceed

Rochester, N.Y. – A local attorney’s case against the City of Rochester arguing that red light cameras are unconstitutional will proceed.

Attorney Larry Krieger is fighting not just because of the $50 ticket he received, but the constitutionality of the law altogether.

On Tuesday, the City asked for the case to be thrown out. But on Thursday, Supreme Court Justice Scott Odorisi issued a decision saying the case will go on. Read it by clicking here.

Oral arguments in the case will be heard September 11. This case is the first local case to challenge the red light camera program.
