Ovid teen flees car crash, kicks deputies

Hopewell, N.Y. Deputies tasered a Seneca County teen after he resisted arrest early Sunday.

The Ontario County Sheriffs said Matthew Wyckoff, 19, was arrested after crashing his vehicle onto the lawn of Dons Bar around 12:56 a.m.

The driver allegedly fled the scene and hid in a nearby wooded area.  When deputies located him, Wyckoff apparently resisted arrest and kicked them. Authorities said the teen was tasered and taken into custody.

He was charged with resisting arrest, 2nd degree harassment and a DWI. Wyckoff will appear in Hopewell Town Court at a later date.
