Martin's mother speaks out against stop-frisk
The mother of Trayvon Martin is speaking out against the stop-and-frisk police practice in New York City.
Critics complain the stops target blacks and Hispanics who aren't doing anything wrong. Earlier this week, New York City was told by a judge that the practice was racial discrimination.
Sybrina Fulton is the mother of Martin, a black teenager who was shot to death in 2012 by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman. In an interview with NBC's "Meet the Press" on Sunday, Fulton said, "you can't give people the authority, whether civilian or police officers, the right to just stop somebody because of the color of their skin."
A jury cleared Zimmerman of second-degree murder charges this summer.
