Teachers spending more on supplies

Teachers are spending more out of their own money to pay for supplies in classrooms this year.

In a survey by Horace Mann, 53 percent of teachers said their budgets have been cut on school supplies.

A quarter of teachers said that they now spend $400 of their own money for supplies, three percent more than they paid last year.
